God made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. When I got my act together, he gave me a fresh start. Now I’m alert to God’s ways; I don’t take God for granted. Every day I review the ways he works; I try not to miss a trick. I feel put back together, and I’m watching my step. God rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.
What does it mean to be the best rock? In the first blog about rocks we saw how we all came from different places and circumstances. We are different in shape, size and color. We also learned that we have a purpose to fulfill in the church and for Jesus. We have come to the conclusion that Jesus needs us.
So how can you become the best rock you can be? Surrender. Surrender. Surrender. I would not be right where I am today if I had not surrendered EVERYTHING I had to God and been willing to be changed. We have to be willing to have the rough edges smoothed. We have to be willing to be relocated. We have to be in an attitude of if God says no then He has a better yes waiting for us.
In further adventures we have to be willing to be changes and healed. We need to be ready for new leases on life. We need to bury the old self and recognize we are a new creation made whole by God. We need to stop looking in the rear view mirror and get out of the drivers seat allowing God to be in control from point A to point B.
Are you willing to be shaped into the rock God needs you to be? We need to realize that it has never been about us. It has always been about having a relationship with God and bringing others the light they need to see God correctly.
