- Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me, My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size—abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become.
What gets to you? What makes you angry? How many times can you get picked on before you snap? Where do you draw the line before you just give up or give in? Just like Superman and his exposure to Kyrptonite we get weaker and weaker the more we are exposed to the sin and evil of this world. We watch movies that are corrupt. We listen to music that speaks to our souls. We witness disrespect everywhere. Hurting people are hurting people all across the world and sadly the world’s Kryptonite is getting stronger everyday…..so what can we do to stop it in our lives? How can we get through each day without getting so weak we can no longer stand? One simple name: Jesus.

Green Kryptonite is typically shown to have no short-term effects on humans or non-superpowered Kryptonians. However, in post-Crisis continuity, long-term exposure can cause radiation poisoning in humans, similar to long-term exposure to uranium.
Immunity. Strength. Perseverance. These are words we all need everyday and it’s not like we each have our own little well to drink from…oh wait! We do! His name is Jesus and He is there 24/7/365 to supply our needs. When we are at our weakest moment, He is the strongest. We have no reason to allow the Kryptonite in our lives to rule, we have a power which overcomes any weakness we should encounter and all we have to do is say Jesus.
Yes, it is that simple. One Name above all names can conquer and destroy Kryptonite in an instant. We do not have to wait either until we are nearly crushed by the weight of this world, we can call Jesus the moment we see trouble coming. How do we get this early detection process? Simple. Ask for discernment. Seek God for wisdom. Choose to live differently than the rest. Study up on Kryptonite and know it’s affect on you. Choose to be an over comer!
