Do you know that every step you take, it takes you somewhere? I know that sounds silly, but it’s truth. Every step we take brings us closer to something, unless you are headed in the wrong direction of course. This speaks to us not only in the physical realm but also the spiritual. Recently my husband and I have been seeing Morning Doves in strange places but they always seemed to be at the right time and place during out journeys. Today we looked at the meaning of doves and we were enlighted to find that they symbolize hope, peace and love. Now in the last hour we have seen two hawks just sitting in places and we felt compelled to seek out their meaning…messenger, protector and visionary.
Wow! God speaks to us in so many ways! He seems to be saying that we are headed in the right direction and with the right purpose. Coupled with the symbolism of the hawk is that we are to be aware of our surroundings. Hmmm…..as we are driving north out of an area of rain, the clouds are breaking and the sun is coming out, making the vibrant oranges and reds of the leaves just pop! I am very aware that God’s beauty is surrounding us constantly!
My husband and I are ready to move with God. We are willing to do what it takes to move to the next level. We know the road may be tough at times, but we are well aware that God will direct us and send us confirmation along the way. We are ready for the tests and trials. We are ready for the closed doors and the victories. We are moving ahead step by step towards being true overcomers. We both have faced some things in life which were not pleasant and painful. We have hurt people in the process and have healed hearts. We have portrayed God in situations and also have been misrepresentations. We are willing to admit we are not perfect in way shape or form.
We as Christians need to take the good and the bad, mix them together and paint a portrait. We need to come to the understanding that we live by the grace of God and there is nothing else attached to that. We were created because He loved us. That’s it. Made to love. Made to communicate. Made to create relationships. Born to bring others into the Kingdom of God. Let’s start taking those steps. One foot in front of the other. Everyday getting closer to His glory. Are you ready for the journey?
